ISO 20400, A SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN

Iris Ceramica Group is proud to have obtained the Responsible Procurement assessment certificate, in line with the principles of the ISO 20400 guideline, from Bureau Veritas Italia Spa, in its capacity as independent Third-Party body, for its subsidiary GranitiFiandre S.p.A.

The ISO 20400 standard is the first major voluntary international standard on sustainable procurement.

The choice of undertaking this process confirms Iris Ceramica Group’s commitment to creating a virtuous value chain aligned to the best ESG practices. A starting point that lays the foundations for continuous improvement, responding to the growing demands for transparency and responsibility throughout the supply chain.

For the Group, the assessment was conducted in accordance with the ISO 20400 guidelines, on the procurement strategies and process as a whole, including the review of the corporate documents, policies, mission, procurement and supplier qualification procedures, monitoring plans and objectives, with particular attention to sustainability performance, also taking into account its stakeholder expectations.

Considering the average results obtained in each of the areas examined, including the Management System, Analysis, Procurement and Principles, the level of maturity of the GranitiFiandre S.p.A. procurement process obtained a score of 2.7 out of 3, a major result that confirms the Group’s concrete and constant commitment to improving its overall sustainability.
