OFICINA TECNICA opens in Madrid: a new gallery and showroom operated by Matimex
OFICINA TECNICA, the new gallery and showroom of Matimex, the Iris Ceramica Group’s Spanish partner and distributor of porcelain maxi-slabs, opens its doors to the public in the centre of Madrid on September 19, 20 and 21.
The Iris Ceramica Group’s ceramic surfaces will soon be on display in another prestigious showroom, in the historic centre of the city of Madrid, at number 6 Paseo de Recoletos, one of the biggest boulevards crossing the Spanish capital.
OFICINA TECNICA is the name of the new showroom opened by MATIMEX, an Iris Ceramica Group company concerned with distribution and sale of the Group’s brands in Spain, Portugal and parts of Latin America.
The name reflects the nature of the place, a place to work together, where architects can find world-class workshops, events and initiatives.
Not a conventional showroom, but a true hub of architecture for professionals and fans, offering a complete, highly qualified technical and commercial support service; a space open to the public where people can come to know and appreciate the Group’s porcelain brands, viewing the many different textures, sizes and finishes that make every single tile a true item of décor.
The showroom interior, designed in-house by the Matimex team, underlines the potential of maxi-slabs, used here in a variety of different applications in addition to traditional floors and walls; they can also be incorporated into furniture, covering tables, cabinets and numerous other items of décor. OFICINA TECNICA will also feature surfaces by SapienStone, the Group’s exclusive brand of high-end porcelain kitchen countertops.
On September 19, 20 and 21 the showroom will be holding a three-day open house, open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day, with Matimex staff on hand to welcome the public and offer guided tours of the showroom and the products on display.
Matimex General Manager Juan-Luis Grafulla comments on the opening of the new showroom and gallery:
“After the 2015 opening of MAE, Matimex’s showroom in Almazora (Castellon), we decided it was time to show architects our technical solutions. This is why we decided to open Oficina Tecnica, in a strategic position right in the centre of the Spanish capital.
In this space, we summarise everything Matimex has to offer the market: innovative top-of-the-range porcelain surfaces such as high-tech stones and maxi-slabs, as well as advanced systems such as ventilated façades, furnishing solutions and the new Sapienstone brand of kitchen countertops.
Oficina Tecnica is the first showroom of its kind in Spain, but as time goes on we hope to reproduce the concept to serve professionals and clients in all the most important cities in Spain and Portugal.”
With the upcoming opening in Madrid and another scheduled soon in Moscow, the Iris Ceramica Group continues to expand its network of showrooms and galleries all over the world, offering customers prompt, customised service and strengthening the brands’ presence on world markets.
