IRIS CERAMICA GROUP SIGNS THE “CYBERWALL” INSTALLATION IN THE ITALIAN PAVILION AT THE VENICE BIENNALE 2021

On 22 May 2021 the 17th International Architecture Exhibition will be inaugurated at the Biennale in Venice, inviting thought on a very current issue, “How will we live together?”, the title of our installation curated by the architect Hashim Sarkis.

Already present at the last edition of the Venice Biennale in 2018, the Iris Ceramica Group has renewed its commitment at this international event, once again supporting the Italian Pavilion and the curatorial project by Alessandro Melis, “Resilient Communities”.

In the articulated exhibition space, divided into 14 “sub-communities”, Iris Ceramica Group surfaces bring life to the curatorial installation Cyberwall, the star of the “Architecture as caregiver” section, focusing entirely on the relationship between man and the environment.

Cyberwall was created using two design solutions that distinguish the Group’s pioneering range of products: the application of Active Surfaces, with antibacterial, antiviral, anti-pollution, anti-odour and self-cleaning properties, has made the installation an icon of sustainability, eliminating smog and reducing the spread of microbial agents carried by airborne particulates; the artistic and creative side, on the other hand, has found a precious ally in the use of the innovative Design Your Slabs technology, bringing full graphic customisation to the surfaces, guaranteeing excellent visual performance, resistance and durability.

On the prestigious international cultural stage of the Venice Biennale, the sponsorship and design works of Iris Ceramica Group offer a living testimonial for a far-sighted vision of architecture and design, promoting collective well-being and an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future.

The 17th International Architecture Exhibition and the Italian Pavilion are open to the public until 21 November 2021.
