A SUCCESSFUL END TO THE 17. INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION AT THE BIENNALE IN VENICE

Sunday 21 November 2021 marked the end of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition at the Biennale in Venice, with 298,600 tickets sold in addition to 6,000 attendees at the pre-opening.

On the prestigious international cultural stage of the Biennale in Venice, the Iris Ceramica Group took part as Main Sponsor of the Italian Pavilion, contributing to the set-up of the exhibition and promoting events devoted to the future of architecture.

In the Italian Pavilion, the Cyberwall, which has become an icon of sustainability and a symbol of the marriage of industrial and creative arts, was built using two of the Iris Ceramica Group’s technological solutions. Active Surfaces® made the surfaces antibacterial and antiviral, anti-pollution, anti-odour and self-cleaning, while Design Your Slabs was used to customise the Cyberwall with designs and graphical compositions by the curator Alessandro Melis.

In addition, the Iris Ceramica Group promoted four webinars on the relationship between architecture and climate change in partnership with Resilient Communities and two Media Cities webinars on the topic of resilience as an approach in the urban regeneration process: Appunto Acqua and Appunto Verde.

The participation of the Iris Ceramica Group at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition bears witness to the Group’s far-sighted vision of architecture and design, promoting collective well-being and an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future.
