“QUESTA STANZA NON HA PIÙ PARETI”: THE SECOND ACT AT MILANO ART WEEK
During Milano Art Week 2026, the second chapter of “Questa stanza non ha più pareti” was unveiled: a permanent site-specific work created by Francesco Simeti at Fondazione Officine Saffi, conceived from the outset as an open and evolving project.
The first phase centered on the ceramic surface, customized through Iris Ceramica Group’s Design Your Slabs technology. This innovative process enabled images and decorative elements from different eras and cultures to be transferred onto large ceramic slabs, creating a layered visual landscape that reshapes the perception of space and symbolically expands its boundaries.
With the Second Act, the work has been further enriched by a new body of ceramic pieces, extending its spatial and relational dimension. The new installation introduces three-dimensional elements inspired by natural motifs, created using plaster molds, and designed to reinforce the dialogue between past and present, cultural memory and shared contemporary practice.
This further evolution confirms the dynamic nature of the project and highlights the value of the dialogue between technological innovation, ceramic culture, and artistic experimentation.
