IRIS CERAMICA GROUP’S SURFACES BRING A NEW DECORATIVE LOOK TO THE PALAPANINI HALL

16 December saw the inauguration of the new hall at the PalaPanini in Modena, which has changed face after more than 35 years thanks to the use of Iris Ceramica Group materials. In the presence of the Sports Councillor Grazia Baracchi, the ribbon was cut with the Modena Volley team and Stefano Luconi, member of the board of Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group, Stefano Bossi, CEO of VEM Sistemi and Saverio Santi, Managing Director of Hydroplants.

The new floor in the hall welcomes spectators and sportspersons with ceramic surfaces that recreate the art of Venetian terrazzo, featuring the image of a volleyball player about to spike the ball, measuring 10x8m and shaped using hydrojet technology. The ceramic surfaces were chosen not only for their beauty but especially for their high technical performance, which makes them ideal for use in public spaces with high foot traffic. Helping to create a bright, engaging atmosphere, the wall covered in 300x150cm large formats, customised using our innovative Design Your Slabs technology, faithfully reproduces an original photograph of the inside of the sports hall on one of its most memorable occasions on the ceramic surface.

Iris Ceramica Group chose to concretely support the renovation of the PalaPanini, an iconic architecture that has become a symbol of the city of Modena and its sporting history, thus strengthening its ties with the community, already firmly entrenched in over 60 years of activity. For this new decorative covering of the hall, Iris Ceramica Group, with its technological and manufacturing know-how, has used the language of ceramics and design to interpret the positive values represented by the sports world shared also by the Group.

The “Temple of Volleyball” is now ready to face the busiest part of the season, and will do so in its best suit, tailored by our materials.
