HUMUS RETURNS IN A NEW DIGITAL FORMAT

On February 26, during the inauguration of the exhibition “Art Déco. The Triumph of Modernity”, for which Iris Ceramica Group is the Main Sponsor, the return of humus was announced. First published on April 1, 1973, under the direction of Gianni Sassi, the magazine is now being relaunched in a new digital format.

This revival takes place within the cultural framework of the major Art Déco exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan—an era rich in artistic and design innovation, as well as a key period in the birth of Made in Italy. Iris Ceramica Group has always been a leading reference in this field.

Four video insights on design and ceramics, created in collaboration with the Group, Valerio Terraroli (curator of the exhibition), and Domitilla Dardi (design critic), will serve as a starting point for the themes humus will explore again, beginning with its first issue, set for release in May.

Originally a quarterly magazine with six issues published in the 1970s, humus is now transforming into a digital publication—available in both Italian and English. It aims to explore contemporary topics with a constructive approach, particularly in the fields of architecture and design, art and creativity, with a special focus on ceramics and its artistic expressions.

Coordinated by journalist Antonella Galli, the digital magazine will select a compelling theme for each issue, featuring articles from industry journalists and experts from various fields.
