FEDERICA MINOZZI RECEIVES AN HONORARY DEGREE IN MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING

The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMoRe) has conferred an Honorary Master’s Degree in Management Engineering on Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group. The ceremony was held today, Wednesday 9 July 2025, in the Aula Magna of the Polo Digitale in Reggio Emilia, before the rector, Prof. Carlo Adolfo Porro, teaching staff and many guests.

During the laudatio, Prof. Monia Montorsi, chair of the Degree Programme in Management Engineering, illustrated the reasons behind this award, underlining Federica Minozzi’s contribution to the industrial development of the company and the district, granting the title for her merits in the field of industrial management, applied research and cooperation between universities and the business world.

The roots of her vision – “Reengineering Ceramics for the Better” – lie in a solid heritage of culture and values, which has shaped her mindset and business approach. Driven by a profound love for ceramics, understood as a living material and not merely a finished product, Federica Minozzi has helped re-engineer this material, turning its characteristics into opportunities for growth and innovation.

A bold and ground-breaking spirit that anchors culture to the business, reflecting the founding values of Iris Ceramica Group: innovation, sustainability and excellent quality.

During her lectio magistralis, the CEO described the change management process that has led the company towards a substantial evolution. A process that has involved the whole company – from production to applications, from digitalisation to strategies – culminating in pioneering projects like the H2 Factory®.

“It is a great honour for me to receive an Honorary Degree in Management Engineering,” Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group, commented. “It is an acknowledgement of commitment, passion and a vision that combines organisational strategy and business culture. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the University for having conferred this prestigious award on me. The heritage of values and pioneering identity my father was able to impress on the company have been a source of inspiration for me, as well as the foundations of the Group’s entrepreneurial vision: To reengineer ceramics to improve the interaction between people and the environment. This approach goes beyond the traditional concept of ceramics, enhancing their ability to combine beauty and function, fully embodying the concept of beautility: the harmonious blend of beauty and utility, emotion and substance.”

This Honorary Degree is both a major achievement and a concrete recognition of the spirit of initiative, courage and business intelligence that Federica Minozzi and her leadership, inspired by a precise vision and sincere passion, have always been renowned for.
