THE IRIS CERAMICA GROUP SYMPHONY PLAYS AT THE DUBAI DESIGN WEEK
From 5 to 10 November, during the Dubai Design Week, Iris Ceramica Group staged its metaphoric orchestra of instruments, people and technologies in one of the world’s most strategic international business capitals.
Within the framework of the Sinfonia concept presented at Cersaie, the Group’s ICG Orchestra continued its theatre tour in the heart of the Dubai Design District, performing for the five days of the event at BUILDING 2 – UNIT 02 (DD3 Street 4). Here, the digital orchestra played three great classical music symphonies – Beethoven’s No. 6; Vivaldi’s Four Seasons; Mozart’s No. 41 – and visitors could enjoy the experience of directing the orchestra in the role of a Conductor. The Orchestra’s instruments reacted to the movement of the hands, offering the possibility to interpret the same music track in a completely personal way.
The orchestra was joined on tour by the Dubai Singers: the multicultural choir that has been performing for 50 years gave a special repertoire in the Iris Ceramica Group space. On the same days, a group of students from Dubai’s most prestigious design schools and universities had the chance to experiment with their voices, guided by the choir leader.
