IRIS CERAMICA GROUP MATERIALS OBTAIN THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND HEALTH DECLARATION FDES

The materials of Iris Ceramica Group, produced at the company’s manufacturing sites in Italy and Germany, have obtained validation of the Fiche Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire (FDES), an environmental and health declaration concerning building products for the French market.

The FDES, developed according to international ISO standards (ISO 14040, ISO 14044, and ISO 14025) and in accordance with French national standard NF EN 15804/CN, describes the environmental and health performance of a construction product based on the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) approach, i.e. considering the entire life cycle of the product.
It is an “individual” declaration, meaning it refers specifically to the thickness and manufacturing site of the product being assessed.

In addition to providing information on the environmental impacts of the material’s life cycle, the FDES also includes health-related data.
With this declaration, Iris Ceramica Group reaffirms its commitment to providing tools that support sustainable design, considering both the environmental impact of its solutions and their contribution to people’s well-being.
