Showroom Open Doors

Shaping the future: from Ceramics to Talks around Architecture

During the Fuorisalone, pioneering ceramic surfaces and technological solutions welcome visitors to the Iris Ceramica Group showroom in Via Santa Margherita 4. The space comes alive with a rich programme of special meetings to investigate the present and future scenario of architecture, from Italy to Dublin and on to the Middle East. Not to be missed, the “Urban Station” installation in the centre of Milan.

URBAN STATION. The corner of the future

Piazza dei Mercanti
from 17 to 23 April

Set against the Brera Design District, Asti Architetti and Iris Ceramica Group present a temporary workstation in the heart of Milan: a corner of the future, an urban oasis designed to replenish our minds and recharge our batteries. The project draws a continuous seat, formed by the overlapping of different layers of 4D Ceramics, the pioneering surfaces created with Iris Ceramica Group’s full-body technology expressed through the brand SapienStone, and the eco-active materials Active Surfaces®. In this corner of the future, it will also be possible to stop for even a long time - thanks to the wireless charging stations - and interact with the Hypertouch smart surfaces to switch on the lighting in the evening.

Attention to sustainability continues consistently with the choices made in the organisation of convivial events.
During the Fuorisalone, the Showroom will become a Pop-Up Bakery curated by Bibendum Catering: delicious gourmet sandwiches will be served with a special zero-mileage craft beer made from bread yeast.
An example demonstrating the potential of circular resources and processes, both in the production of ceramic surfaces and in conviviality.
