“UN FIORE DALL’ARGILLA”: FEDERICA MINOZZI, CEO OF IRIS CERAMICA GROUP, WINS THE LIONS CLUB SASSUOLO AWARD

A major award, set up almost thirty years ago, to honour distinguished local people who, through their work, have brought fame to the city and community of Sassuolo: this is the “Un fiore dall’argilla” award, set up by Lions Club Sassuolo initially on an annual basis but now every two years. This year, the prestigious prize, consisting of the reproduction of an ancient Sassuolo majolica symbolising the whole local historical heritage, was awarded to Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group.

The award ceremony was held at Villa Belvedere in San Michele, Sassuolo. The event was also attended by the architect Vincenzo Vandelli, who described the attractive location where the ceremony was held, and Ettore Tazzioli, Director of TRC, who interviewed Federica Minozzi. The celebrations then continued at Sporting Club Sassuolo,  also marking the 67th anniversary of the Club’s Charter.

The “Un fiore dall’argilla” prize also includes a cash donation to an association or organisation of her choice: Federica Minozzi chose to donate the €3000 prize money to ANT Italia Onlus – Modena.

I am very grateful for this prestigious award, which also offers food for thought on what Iris Ceramica Group represents for the local business community,” the Group’s CEO commented. “In these times of  huge challenges, we continue to offer our contribution by turning economic difficulties into opportunities, passionately asserting Italy’s manufacturing excellence abroad, hoping that our long-term industrial plans can increasingly become a driver of development not only for Sassuolo but for the whole country. Our commitment bears witness to an identity whose roots lie firmly in the age-old craft traditions of our local area and which has made us the proud interpreters of Italian creativity around the world.” Minozzi concluded.
