Iris Ceramica Group supports the new hybrid facility at Baggiovara Hospital, the new frontier in excellence in Italy’s national healthcare system

Enterprise and healthcare work hand-in-hand to give the community a better future.

Iris Ceramica Group, the leading Italian manufacturer of porcelain and high-tech ceramic, provided important support for the opening of the new Sala Ibrida (Hybrid Facility) in the hospital in Baggiovara (Modena).

This ambitious project aims to construct a cutting-edge operating theatre fitted with new-generation radiological equipment, including a powerful digital angiographer.
This noble, forward-looking project aims to implement a new concept of wellness through better healthcare, prevention and medical treatment for users in the province of Modena and beyond.

Iris Ceramica Group, which has always had a vocation for technological progress and strongly supports the local community and its potential, offered its support for this Hybrid Facility project marking an important milestone in the development of medicine in the province of Modena.

Iris Ceramica Group CEO Federica Minozzi comments, “We’re happy to be able to play an active role in making the Hybrid Facility a reality, as it is a truly innovative project of great importance for the community where we were born and continue to work. Our decision to contribute to this praiseworthy project arises out of a convergence of values: first of all, human wellness, an area in which we are particularly involved, but also our continual striving for excellence and innovation, without which all progress and improvement is impossible”.

The facility, which will officially open on 21 December 2018, will permit treatment of urgent and complex pathologies with a cutting-edge operating theatre where specialists will be able to perform a number of diagnostic tests simultaneously, saving significant amounts of time.

Being able to work together at the same time, using the most advanced technologies, will significantly change the treatment system, permitting immediate, precise, safe action.

The creation of the Sala Ibrida required a total investment of about EUR 2,200,000: the Hospital of Modena University funded the construction and technical plants, while EUR 1 million in donations from businesses and individuals was allocated to the purchase of the angiography system, essential for achievement of the project’s medical objectives.

Iris Ceramica Group is happy to have taken part in this project supporting the community and technological progress with a donation testifying to the active role played by the Group in the territory of Emilia and its constant desire to provide incentives for research in all possible fields providing opportunities to improve quality of life.
